Lower Back Pain
After long periods of lower back pain, various doctors and x-rays I was referred to Jane Watson, Physiotherapist. As a result I cannot begin to describe how elated and thrilled I was when my back pain had completely disappeared after my first appointment.
I have to admit I was skeptical at first as I had already been to other physiotherapists. However after seeing Jane and following through with the recommended exercises at home I was eager to get to my second appointment to let Jane know how well they had worked and how great I had started to feel.
So now armed with on going practical advice I am pain free and relieved to feel normal again. Thank you Jane.

I would like to speak of my experience with Jane Watson, Physiotherapist. After hurting my back in March 2010, I had been on what seemed an endless cycle of terrible pain as well as visits to doctors to try and get some relief and sense of what was going on, all without success. I was referred by an Orthopaedic Surgeon to Jane after a decision was made that surgery was not the appropriate option.
When I first visited her she spoke with me at length about the nature of my pain and assessed my level of function which at that time was almost nil. I was very frightened. She reassured me then gave me some simple exercises I would do at home or at work to decrease pain and improve function.
As time has progressed, my pain has relieved to a level where it is very manageable and I am now back doing a number of things that I honestly believed would never be achievable again. Jane has enabled me to be aware of things that hinder my progress and empowered me to be able to help myself.

I would like to thank you for imparting the Robin Mckenzie back treatment method to me in only one visit.
After suffering lower back pain for many years and visiting various physiotherapists I have never been able to become pain free without a reoccurrance.
With only the one visit and using the stretches as outlined in the ‘Treat your own back’ by Robin Mckenzie I am at last pain free and able
to maintain my own back with out further reference to a physio. Unfortunately this means less business for your good self, however anyone
I meet who suffers lower back pain will be refered to you.Its such a blessing after all these years to find such simple methods to relieve the back pain and improve my mobility.

I am 52 years of age and have always led a very pain free active life. Then one day I bent down to pick up something, I felt a twinge of pain in my lower back which got worse and worse.
I saw various chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists but nothing would seem to work for long. Then I saw Jane and after a thorough examination she explained how years of sitting slumped in front of a computer had ‘created’ the problem with my lower back.
With a set of simple back exercises that could be performed in under a minute I have been able to keep up the regime and am free of back pain without time consuming and costly ongoing appointments.

Back Pain
I had been diagnosed as having a bulging disc and needed to commence physiotherapy to resolve my problem. If it did not resolve I would be facing surgery. Jane’s approach is sympathetic and caring; she explained why my injury exists and what was exacerbating my pain.
By following the McKenzie Method, and by altering my lifestyle slightly, I am managing my own pain and recuperating well. There truly is strength in knowledge and this is the key to Jane’s treatment philosophy.

Back and Neck Pain
I am a 45 year old mum and homemaker. I have spent a fortune seeing physiotherapists since I was 15 years old for lower back pain and the last 5 years for neck pain. After a return drive from Sydney to Brisbane in July 2007 I was in terrible pain and my GP sent me to an orthopaedic surgeon who sent me to see Jane Watson for physiotherapy. After only one half hour session the pain had decreased and by the time I had 3 half hour visits (1 per week for 3 weeks) the pain was practically gone!
Jane gave me 2 exercises for my neck and 2 for my lower spine to do daily, using the McKenzie method of exercising. Any time I get twinges I immediately correct my posture and do the exercises. I cannot believe after all these years I am almost pain free by minimum posture change and a minimum exercise routine to achieve it! I would recommend Jane to anyone with neck or back pain.
